Closing out 2022

Thank you!

First and foremost, I just want to say thank you to all the amazing families, organizations, and schools that hired my services for their event in 2022. Whether it was DJ, production, lighting, or photo booth services, I just want to say it was an absolute pleasure to provide services for each and every one of you.

This year will go down in the record books as the busiest that I’ve ever had in 25 years of doing this. Believe it or not, there were still a lot of postponed events from 2020 that finally had the opportunity to host their celebration in 2022. When you combine the postponements, with people who were holding out (hoping that Covid would go away), plus the regularly scheduled events it makes for a very busy calendar, everyone in the events industry experienced this boom in 2022 and I must say, it was an absolutely wild (and fun) ride.

In 2022 the parties finally felt like they did prior to Covid. The level of enthusiasm was through the roof. The energy was electric. And, if I feel people were ready and anxious to finally be amongst their loved ones, their peers, their friends, and co-workers. It truly was an incredible year.

So, again, I just want to say thank you to all of those who brought me to their event. As a 14-year-old kid, I always dreamt of making this my career. I’ve been doing this for 25 years now and I’ve been self-employed for 13 of those years. So thank you for helping me live out my dream. I love playing a small role in your milestone event and it means the world to me that you put your trust in me to help bring your event to life.

A look back

I love data and I love statistics. I know, it’s super nerdy. Bare with me though! I thought I would share some numbers from 2022 in hopes that you find them interesting too.  Most DJ companies in Maine are lucky if they do 40 to 50 events per year. In 2022, I did 128 events! Within that number, I provided DJ services for 38 weddings, production services for 31 corporate events, and DJ’d 21 school events, while also DJ’ing a handful of private events. In addition to providing DJ services for those events, I also had a handful of photo booth rentals, event lighting, soft goods rentals, and event rental jobs.
