Maine DJ for Weddings, Corporate Events & Private Parties
Well, November and December were jam packed with events and holidays so free time was hard to come by. But, it's a new year and that means it's time for a new mix. If you have little ones running around, or if you're at work, you'll want to put the headphones on for this one. It's unedited, and there are a few words that might make your mom give you "the look."
Your wedding is undoubtedly one of the biggest days of your life. Between the ceremony and the reception, there are a lot of elements and details that you will focus your attention on. The food and the atmosphere are some of the only huge takeaways for your guests. They’ll remember whether or not they were well-fed and whether or not they had a fun time dancing the night away. And, what is an integral part of that? The music you play. If you’re on the hunt for a Maine wedding DJ, here are all the questions you need to ask before you hire.
Well, it's December and that means Holiday Parties are here! To kick off the holiday season, I had an opportunity to travel to Portland, Maine to provide entertainment for Town and Country Federal Credit Union. I commonly provide DJ services in Portland; however, this was my first time working with this company and I was excited to roll out an awesome entertainment package for their employees. Inside the Italian Heritage Center I setup: DJ entertainment with my signature video DJ booth, color controlled uplighting, 70" TV screens and an open style photo booth.
The corporate season is in full swing. Over the past eight weeks, I've been on the road providing audio visual services throughout all of Maine for dozens of our corporate partners. One of our recent events was a two day conference with Aroma Joe's to provide all of the audio and visual services for their annual conference hosted at Sunday River.
A Maine DJ knows what songs, in what order, will keep your guests engaged and dancing. They know how to create music timelines which flow effortlessly and seamlessly. And, a good Maine DJ knows how to beat-mix music so that tracks blend together to create an uninterrupted soundtrack. You won't get that with an online playlist or amateur DJ.
Last week, Bill brought me in for one of his events with the New England Association of Collegiate Registrars & Admissions Officers. NEACRAO for short. We've done this event together in the past (most recently at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland, Maine). But this year, they requested our presence in Newport, Rhode Island.
Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to provide services at Bear Mountain Inn for Matt and Jen's ceremony and reception. I'll be honest, it was a bit chilly (some might say blustery) but, I can't blame Jen and Matt for wanting to host their ceremony outside. The view is stunning and worth braving the elements.
Your wedding day is a day you think about from the time you’re a child. Yet, when it finally comes time to plan it, all of the details can be overwhelming. What will the reception look like? How do we select the right Maine wedding DJ? What type of food will we serve? How do we make sure our guests have fun? These are likely just some of the questions you have running through your mind.
October is one of the busiest months of the year. Why? Well, for a few weeks wedding season, school season and corporate season all overlap. This means I'm on the road non-stop traveling and providing services. Historically, Halloween week has always been very busy - which is great because I love Halloween! This year, I traveled to Castine, Maine to provide services for the annual Maine Maritime Academy Halloween Dance.
