Union Bluff Meeting House

After an amazing New Year’s Eve wedding at the Portland Regency (click here to read about it), I traveled to Union Bluff Meeting House to party with Jenn and Cam! First off, Amy at Union Bluff Meeting House is amazing! Highly recommend.Second, the venue, the space, and the rest of the staff are phenomenal. They are truly great hosts with top-notch accommodations. In the summer I’m sure it’s a bit congested but getting around on January 1 proved to be pretty straightforward.

Inside the ballroom at Union Bluff, an air-wall divided the ceremony space from the cocktail hour. For the ceremony I provided. small PA system, lapel microphones, and music for the processional, march, and recessional.

Based on the guidance Jenn and Cam provided, I filled the designated times with tracks from artists like Jackson Browne, Van Morrison, Amy Winehouse, Redbone, Ne-Yo, Jackie Wilson, Rihanna, Beyonce, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Stapleton, and Tracy Chapman.

Ceremony + DJ + Uplighting

Once dinner ended we were quickly into dancing. Funk, soul, top 40, hip-hop, no matter what music was played these folks partied. And Jenn’s dad was at the center of it all. In attendance were a few couples that I provided services for previously, always an exciting experience for me as the DJ. It also gives me a bit of ‘insider information’ when it comes to the soundtrack for the night. I know what worked with the previous group(s) and I’m able to sprinkle some of that same flair into the reception. No surprise, Jenn and Cam’s group carried the energy and the party to the very end. Honestly, I think they would have partied all night given the chance.
