ymca camp jordan

Ellsworth, Maine wedding dj

Bar Harbor DJs The last time I DJ’d a wedding at the YMCA Camp Jordan in Ellsworth, Maine was nearly 10 years ago! Clearly, it was time for another visit so I jumped at the opportunity to provide services for Bradley and Julianne. If you haven’t been to Camp Jordan before let me set the scene. It has acres (and I mean acres) of space for guests to enjoy. In addition to being completely secluded, it also offers cabins for guests to stay in. A truly unique experience and the perfect solution if you’re looking for a weekend experience for your family and friends to enjoy.

The ceremony location Bradley and Julianne picked out was new for me. In my previous weddings at Camp Jordan the ceremony was hosted on the lawn outside the reception hall. Bradley and Julianne handpicked a spot further down the camp road that was absolutely stunning. The body of water? Branch Lake served as the perfect backdrop on this beautiful day.. Beautiful for the ceremony that is.

I was particularly excited for Sean and Kaylin to host their wedding reception. I’ve gotten to know them so well over the two+ years of planning that you can’t help but have that same type of pent up energy and excitement about their day.

Ceremony + DJ + Uplighting + Dance Floor Wash + Social Booth

Disc Jockey Bar Harbor Maine I have to quickly touch on the cocktail hour because it was only minutes after the ceremony concluded and guests made their way to the outdoor cocktail location that the skies opened up and rained. This wasn’t a sprinkle either. Instead, mother nature has moody and guests fleed for cover. It seems like these things always have a way of working out really well. Fortunately, Camp Jordan has a very large covered porch. Bar Harbor Catering Company quickly shifted their plan and served apps under the covered porch and things went off without a hitch.

Inside the reception hall, I provided uplighting, dance floor wash lighting, and a social booth. Of course, I had my signature video DJ booth and played a variety of hits to keep guests on. the dance floor all night. Capturing the fun were Brittany and Dean from Two Adventurous Souls. Their business name is so incredibly fitting because they’re a blast to work with and always up for doing whatever is necessary to capture the day as it happens.

Serving up the late-night treats (cake and baked goods) was Wildflour Cake Design. I have to admit, I don’t eat the sweets at a wedding but everything looked amazing! I love being involved with weddings that include such amazing vendors!
