Jaime + Santo | Live well farm wedding

Harpswell, maine wedding djs

In my career as a Maine Wedding DJ, I’ve worked with some amazing couples. Jaime and Santo are no exception! I vividly recall the first time I spoke with them on the phone to discuss their upcoming wedding at Live Well Farm (a beautiful wedding venue in Harspwell, Maine). I was thrilled at the possibility of being their wedding DJ. During that initial conversation their excitement was contagious and I hung up hoping that I’d have the opportunity to help them plan an amazing wedding reception.

You wouldn’t be reading this blog post if I hadn’t ended up working with Jaime and Santo, so I guess you could say the stars aligned. Initially, anyway. The planning process was just as fun as the initial conversation. We had brainstorming sessions about timelines, song selections but more importantly formed a relationship beyond just that of vendor/couple.

Planning A Wedding During A Pandemic

Then, enter Covid-19. A pandemic? Really? As if planning a wedding reception isn’t work enough, throw a pandemic into the mix and watch what happens to the blood pressure. Okay, so maybe it was my blood pressure that was on the rise. Jaime and Santo, on the other hand, handled things with grace. Never considering postponing or cancelling their destination wedding.

The Revised Plan

Honestly, unlike some other 2020 weddings that I was involved with: for Jaime and Santo, not a whole lot changed. From an entertainment standpoint, I provided a sound system and micropones for the on-site ceremony, a second sound system for dinner and speeches under the tent and a third sound system inside the barn. In addition to the multiple sound systems, I provided dance floor lighting inside and some uplighting outside for gueests who mingled outside the barn.

Wedding Highlights

The entire day was incredibly heartfelt. The vendor team behind the scenes worked collaboratively to put their best foot forward for Jaime and Santo. Knowing how much time, energy and effort went into planning the big day we all wanted to come together to help these two amazing souls celebrate the day. The ceremony was personal, emotional and joyous. The energy during cocktails and dinner was lively and the dance floor.. well, I highly recommend checking out the video that A Little Long Distance put together. You can see for yourselves that even though the guest count was restricted due to Covid guidelines, the party was not short on energy or fun.
