Stage rental. drapery. video screens. and, what else?

Last year I had the opportunity to provide audio-visual services for the Maine Tourism Association’s annual conference hosted at the Poland Spring Resort in Poland, Maine. This year, the conference moved locations to the Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg, Maine. Thankfully, I was invited back to help produce the event for their live audience. 

For production services, I provided an 8ft deep by 12ft wide stage at 16″ height. On the stage was a clear acrylic podium and microphone. Stage left and right were 75″ TV screens used for the visual programming and the back of the room had white drapes and uplighting. Within the ballroom, we also provided a complete sound system operated through our digital mixer. 

To manage the video components I utilized a Roland VR50MK2 video mixer. If you’ve read through any of my other audio-visual blog posts you know that I absolutely love this video mixer/switcher! It’s a powerhouse and makes producing events a lot more streamlined.

A huge thank you to the staff at the Maine Tourism Association for bringing me back for a second year. Last year they took a chance partnering with a new production company for their annual event. I’m always humbled when given the opportunity to step in for an established event and my goal is to hit a home run with flawless execution of the event. Being brought back for a second year means we met and exceeded expectations and I’m thankful for the partnership that has formed since then. For this annual conference, we handled the audio-visual in the general assembly area for their annual meeting and awards. It was a day long affair capped off by an awesome lobster bake. I look forward to being back for year three, thanks again to the Maine Tourism Association for having us as their a/v production partner.
