Brianna & Zach’s 1774 Inn Wedding in Phippsburg, Maine

The First Wedding of 2023!

Well, it’s official. Wedding season in Maine is underway and I couldn’t be more excited to have kicked things off with Brianna and Zach. Their wedding, hosted at the beautiful and historic, The 1774 Inn in Phippsburg, Maine was absolutely stunning. Working alongside their planner, Marianne Vold, I had the privilege of carrying out services for their on-site ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception.

First and foremost, the weather here in Maine hasn’t been kind to us as we start the 2023 wedding season. But, thankfully, Brianna and Zach had perhaps the most beautiful weekend of the year for their wedding celebration. The day started with ceremony coverage on the lawn with the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop. Truly breathtaking. From there, cocktails took place just outside the barn where I had music and a selfie booth set up for guests to enjoy. When cocktails concluded, I introduced the newlyweds into cocktail hour where they shared their first dance outside under the bistro lights. It was a beautiful moment and truly unique being able to share their dance outside the barn with all their friends circled around them. After speeches from Brianna’s parents, the Maid of Honor, and Best Man, I invited guests to the dinner tent where Brianna’s aunt gave a heartfelt blessing.

Dinner, catered by  The Pig Kahuna, was phenomenal and guests raved about their meals. Once dinner concluded, I invited guests to the reception barn for parent dances and the party. 

The Party!

As the DJ, I’m most excited once the dance floor opens. For Brianna and Zach’s reception, I played a variety of tracks from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000’s. Most notable was ‘throwback pop’ featuring artists like The Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, Gwen Stefani, and Usher. I snuck in some 90’s hip hop and R&B along with some wedding classics (funk/soul/disco). Due to the noise ordinance, the party had to wrap up at 9pm but I have a feeling that Brianna, Zach, their family and their friends could have partied much later. It was an absolute blast to DJ their wedding reception and it was the perfect way to kick off the 2023 wedding season. A huge and heartfelt congratulations to Zach and Brianna.
