Let’s talk about this venue for a minute

If you’re looking for a barn wedding in Western Maine, I have to suggest that you check out Bear Mountain Inn in Waterford, Maine. This venue is one of my absolute favorites! I’ve had the pleasure of providing services for many weddings here over the past few years and I can’t get enough of it. The ceremony spot overlooks the lake below and is stunning. They have a sprawling lawn, a beautifully remodeled Inn, and an awesome setup for cocktail hour and the reception. Honestly, check it out for yourself if you’re thinking about hosting a barn wedding!

Okay, carrying on! how about this amazing Ceremony?! 

So, imagine this scene: a breathtaking ceremony overlooking the serene lake in all its glory. The sun decided to show off its golden hues, casting a warm glow on the water that made it look like a liquid mirror reflecting pure magic. Margaret and Roy, surrounded by their family and friends, took in nature’s beauty amongst the gentle rustle of leaves and the occasional ripple of the water.

Their vows were spoken against the backdrop of the breathtaking lake. The weather was perfect, the sky was clear. It truly was stunning. It was a ceremony that felt like a page ripped straight out of a fairytale but with a touch of real-life charm that made it all the more unforgettable.

Let’s talk about the party…

I’ve been doing this long enough to “just know” when a party is going to pop off. Margaret and Roy (and their bridal party), made introductions a ton of fun. They let their personality shine through and introductions were insanely memorable. I always know when this happens that the party that follows is going to be memorable. And, of course, this did not disappoint!

The dance floor was hotter than a jalapeño in a salsa contest, with guests twirling like tornadoes and attempting moves that could only be described as a mix between a chicken dance and a moonwalk. I did my best to play Margaret and Roy’s favorite tracks, including the hits from the 90s and 2000s. Their reception was an evening filled with laughter, joy, and maybe just a tad too much moonshine – blame it on the charming Maine vibes!
